What is Team Teal?
Team Teal was created with the supporters in mind. As we have seen the tremendous support, encouragement, hope and love friends and families have given to their loved one going through cancer, we realized these people aren’t alone, they have their TEAM! These teams support in all different ways, but together they get through whatever trials and obstacles come their way. Our goal is to help the efforts of the incredible support networks already in place.
What does Teal have to do with anything?
Teal has been the color of Hats With Heart since it’s inception in 1993. Kay Gravette, our founder, started her company with teal because she liked bright colors as she was going through her own battle with breast cancer. This color has remained synonymous with Hats With Heart as we continue to make the highest quality products for women experiencing hair loss.
How does Teal fit with Pink?
Pink has become an established tradition symbolizing breast cancer awareness. Teal symbolizes family and friends taking action to support their loved one battling breast cancer. Together they make the perfect team.
What about other types of cancer?
Hats With Heart provides headwear for ALL types of cancer and hair loss. Our Team Teal campaign is breast cancer specific in honor of our founder, Kay Gravette however the TEAM symbolism is universal.
Where do the proceeds go?
